Wedding Thursday: All about Cake Designs

Hey y'all! 

Sorry I have been away, I have been sick and have not had the energy to write anything. Maine is having crazy weather and I think that might have something to do with it. Anyways been pretty busy even though I have been sick. I will update yall later, now time for some Cake! 

Now In my last Wedding Post I was talking about our Wedding Colors. Which are Pink & Gold. Below are some wedding cakes that have our colors in the cake designs. I just love them all! 

Let them Eat Cake! 

 I like this one, I like that it looks as if there is lace on the cake.  Its just the cake looks lumpy :/

 I really like the one but I don't think I like the pattern. What do you think?

 I LOVE this idea it the cake ends up being gold. it be a nice pop of color.

 I like this one too if we dont go with fondant this would be nice.

So those are some of my favorite Pink and Gold Cake designs that I have found. We are wanting either a 4 to 5 tier cake.. I was thinking 6 but that might be a little to much... as in height. I like either the pink fondant or the gold. I am thinking Gold with Pink ponies flowers. What do yall think?  We are thinking we have already found the person to make the cake. She is out of Easley and she make such lovely cakes. I love to hear your thoughts on the cakes. What kind of cake do you have at your wedding?

I did it!

Yes, I did it! I finally dyed my hair Pastel pink! It is so exciting, though I am not sure if I like it but I am getting to like it :D

What I Wore Today

Well more like what I am wearing today! :p Today is a lazy kinda of day just went to the store and going to head over to the studio to do some cleaning and get it ready for tomorrow. We have a big photo shoot on Tuesday and we are rather excited about.

 My hair is back blonde in these photos. I am excited; need to touch up a few spots in the back then I am going to dye it pastel pink. :D

 Skirt: Lane Bryant (its way to big; I have to roll it up for it to stay on)

Wedding Wednesday- On Thursday - Pink & Gold

So I am a little behind on doing my post :p 

Wedding Wednesday Thursday: Our Wedding Colors Pink & Gold 

We decided finally on our wedding colors, which was rather hard. Ended up having to look at things and boards to get an idea what the colors look like together. Which Curtis ended up liking Pink & Gold better than any others. Which I love the Pink & Gold, it is very Vintage which is what we want to go for. Country Vintage. Thats another post. 

 I am going to list some ideas we have that are in Pink & Gold. 

Now please note I am not wanting a dress like this, I love the gold dress but its not my style. But the pink & gold colors are just wonderful! Curtis said they are "Classy".  (:

 This an idea I have for the Flower girls. I am wanting to make tutu dresses for the twins.

 Bridesmaid dress idea 1, now I will do a whole post on looking and inspirations on Bridesmaids dresses later.

Very lovely cake. I saw this today on a friends facebook and fell in love.  I got image from weddingchicks.com They posted images from the whole wedding this week. I love how dainty it is. The only thing I would change is the height. I want a rather tall cake. :D

 I think it be pretty hot to add Pink tulle under my wedding dress :D

Pink Cupcakes - Goal 1

So Friday I made cupcake, I was wanting yummy vanilla cupcake with pink frosting! Well they turned out to be amazing and they didn't last. Its Sunday Now and there are none left! :D

. So how was everyones New year? I was reading everyone's new year goals. Which is very aspiring to me to write out some goals of my own.

 Become a better blogger. Update on a regular bases and post more pictures.

Mermaid Print - Bored at Studio

hey yall
So I was sitting at the studio bored out of my mind, so went on youtube watchingg videos. So I starting to watch Helen Melonlady and her Mermaid hair video, so it inspried me to create this lovely Mermaid water color print.  I first got out my watercolors and i was not sure what to do, since I am rather a newbie with water colors. Other than using them in grade school. I at first thought I would make a card and it ended up being a print and bigger than what I was thought it was going to be. I am not really into the Mermaid thing but after watching Helen Video and her hair well its so mermaid colors! :D I just love her and she funny. Anyways here is the print. (now a graphic). Its a graphic/print of the original watercolor painting. I am not sure what to think of it. What do yall think?

Also here is Helen's Video
