Spring & Summer Decor Ideas

Hey y'all!

So you all know that in a few days (5) I be heading back home to the good ole south. So with that said I am wanting to vamp up the house a bit, get it ready for Spring and Summer. I know it has to be looking rather manly with me being gone 6 months now. Curtis is not the let's make the house pretty and smell good kind of guy. So I know I am going to be doing some major Spring cleaning. I am wanting to add color to my Living Room and add some throw pillows to the sofa to start off with and add some pretty spring things to the mantel. SO I got on Pinterest and started to look for some ideas... here are some:

 I have been wanting some different types of Cactus in my house because for one they are almost impossible to kill. And they are a very lovely pop of color.

 I am hoping to paint the wall that connects the living room with the dinning room this color and I love the black chevron pillow too with that color. My sofa is about that color too.

 I love the saying.

 I am going to have to find some wall space to do this with, I love this idea!

My 1st "Sunday Social"

Hey y'all! 

Today this Sunday I decided to do join in on the fun with the whole "Sunday Social"that I keep seeing on a lot of blogs. Which this week's post seem like a good set of questions so I am like why not!

1. What is one movie you are terrified to watch? 2012: that is one movie I refuse to watch again. Something about it that is just freaked me out way to much. And I won't watch any movie that is somewhat like it either. 

2. What is one TV show you have always wanted to get into but haven’t yet? The Vampire Diaries: Everyone I seem to know is in love with this show. I used to watch the Secret Circle and this show was always on before so I would catch the last few mins of it. Which I never seem to get into it. Netflix has it on so I might give it a try. Since it is Curtis' new favorite show. 

 3. What is one daring activity on your bucket list?  I really don't have a list, but I have always wanted to Bungee Jump and I want to travel to Ireland.Oh and a road trip across country!

4. Would you ever travel alone? yes, I have already travel more than once on my own. I have flown couple of times by myself too. I don't mind it. 

5. What activities do you like to do alone? Driving, because I can just blast my music as loud as I want, and don't have to worry about that awkward moment of silence. Also cleaning house; my house. Crafting and doing things around the house. Also jogging because again no awkward moment of silence or pressure of having to talk to jogging buddy.

I am so ready for spring! I have been doing some online shopping these past couple of days and well I found this awesome clothing website; Tobi. They have some awesome things and it is not very pricey either. Here are some of my faves:

1) Lets just say I am in love with this dress! It is so spring! I love the ombre effect and I think it is perfect for Easter dinner with the family. So to go with it I picked out 2 & 3 to go with it. Also since it is the 1st time ordering with them I save 50% off each item expect the shoes since its a brand.  This is also nice for a shopping trip, flea market days, yard saling, day drives, days at the coffee shop, and picnics, etc.

2) Picked this bracelet bc for one its gold, and it is a statement piece for any outfit.

3) I am in love with these sandals and for one who can find leather shoes these days that are UNDER $100 bucks? They are clean and simple which I think they are great for any outfit and perfect for this Spring and Summer. ($69) 

4) This top is so beautiful yet simple. I love that it is backless and is another great spring pick for anyone's closet.

Wedding Thursday: Floral Crown

I saw this first on The Little Owl, and I just fell in love with it. I have been looking everywhere for a diy to make a floral crown for my wedding day. I want long pretty blonde hair that is semi up with flowers in my hair. I think it is so romantic. Don't you think? The only thing I would change about this DIY is to use real flowers. So I am going to try and make one and I will so post pictures of the process!

Happy Weekend!

 I am so happy that it is Friday and that tomorrow is the Girls Trip to Bangor! We are so excited! We are going to the Bacchanalian Ball/Fest and do some Bangor Shopping.
So who is us girls? Lisa, Sherri, Barb, and me of course. It is going to be a blast! We are all dressing up as the elements and I trying to figure out what blue dress to wear since I am going as water. The one I am really wanting to wear I hoping that it fits. Its looks a little small and this girl has a Big butt! hahaha
Lisa is Air, Sherri is Fire which Barb made an awesome dress for her, and Barb is going as Earth. Barb outfit is pretty cool too. I am Excited to see Lisa's she going to almost dress like a gypsy.  Which I love gypsies clothing.  So what is a Bacchanalian Ball? You ask...

So that is what I am up to this weekend. What are you doing this weekend? How was your Valentine's Day? Curtis and I really don't do the whole Valentine day thing. Its a little High School LOL I did do some boudoir photos for him. Two of them are in my About Page up top. :D

I also got my hair cut it has almost been a year since the last time I cut my hair. So my hair was very happy with me on that one. It is really cute. It reminds me of Tori Spelling old hair style from the 90s.

Or maybe betsey Johnson?? Just with short hair? LOL 

so what do you guys think? Do yall have tips on trying to smooth out hair? Trying to repair my hair from all the bleaching...

What I am Reading: sTORI Telling & New Shoes

Hey y'all!
Hope everyone is doing good. I have been rather busy and had not had the time to do a post for you guys. So day I want to do a post on what I am currently reading. Since I am in Maine, Northern Maine... There are really not a lot of book stores. I really don't buy new books unless is something I been dying to read. So here in the area i am in. There is Catholic Charities (thrift store) and they have an awesome used book area of the store. So few weeks ago I heard about that all their books are 10 for $1 crazy I know. I just didn't believe it. So I went to go check it out. Lets just say it was a pretty awesome 1 hour of my life. They have so many good, wonderful, and yummy books to choose from. I ended up buying 8 books the 1st go around and the second trip my mom and I got 10 or so.  That is when I found the book I am currently reading and her latest one.

sTORI Telling by Tori Spelling

This is her first book she has wrote. I wasn't too sure what to think about the book. I just know I love her in her show and some of her movies. So I sat down and started reading it. Well lets just say it's a page turner.  I am really enjoying the book. It is funny and I love the way she writes, it like she really talking to you face to face. It is also very informative, I learned things I never knew about her and things that I thought I knew and it turned out to be lies. I also love it that she is just like any other girl. Tori shares stories about her childhood, how she became an actress.
I am not done with the book yet, but I am now starting the part about her and her 1st husband.
So if you want a good easy read and a fan of Tori I highly suggest it. :D

Yesterday's Fine: Guess Black Pumps for $10 on sale (amazing!!!) They are so Marilyn! They are very soft and easy to walk in.
